Today was a very good work day. We got the robot out onto the game field and tested the spool. Success! Programming is a bit of a headache but hopefully we will be able to do more field testing tomorrow and next week the drivers will get to practice. As a result of the testing today, the spool was redesigned and the arm/claw device was tweaked.

This is the game field built by our mentor, Mr David Crutchfield, and his sons John and Will.

This is a close-up of the platform with its spool and the post that it will climb.

Our team has been struggling with computer and programming issues. Today one of our past robotics presidents came by and mentored our team on the fine art of installing programs and how to use the Vex controller. Success! The motors moved! Thank you Tyler Johnson!

Also our engineering mentor, Mr David Crutchfield, built a "half" game field, to scale. This will enable us to practice at Fulton. Thank you Mr Crutchfield!

Tomorrow we hope to have the robot's attachment mechanism installed to allow it to move up and down the pole.

And our team tee shirts arrived! We are distributing them this week. Photos to follow!

BEST Lion's Pride Kick-Off for WARP XX

This year's kick-off day for The Fulton School's BEST Robotics team was held on September 8. Even though it was the day after a football game, there were many students (not in the photo!) who attended kick-off. WARP XX looks to be a challenging game!

SeaPerch ROV Build in Progress

This year's SeaPerch ROV build is well underway. This year there are 7 students in The Fulton School's SeaPerch group, all from the 8th grade. More photos to follow!
